There has been an increasing number of attempts to post spam to this
mailing list, which requires administrator actions to discard the spam.
Somewhat reluctantly, I've turned on automatic rejection of non-member
postings. Very rarely there is a non-spam posting that should be
admitted, but the administrative overhead is too great to cope with
these rare events.
