The Python community loves controversy. I only know about this because of a thread trying to talk Jack out of the naming he has decided upon for his Package Install Manager for Python: pimp. :) The Mac issues are mostly however Greek to me - but pimp certainly sounds like something that should be explored as the possible solution to VPython Mac distribution issues.
