Unless there's some caching going on somewhere (e.g. cccache, or some such), successive tries on the same source ought to get the same result. Whenever I've had such problems it has always turned out to be either a hardware problem or a filesystem problem. I'd recommend rebooting to single user mode and running fsck on all your file systems, as well as running any hardware diagnostics you may have. Recompiling a kernel is also sometimes suggested as a good stress test for your system. > /usr/include/g++-3/stl_alloc.h:423: Internal error: Segmentation fault. > Please submit a full bug report. > See <URL:https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/> for instructions. Of course you might want to try that too. -- Andy Dougherty dou...@la... Dept. of Physics Lafayette College, Easton PA 18042 |
