I think I may understand the issue with installing and using VPython on the 
Mac, based on Python 2.1.1.

For Macs running OS 9.0 or older, the existing installation and use 
instructions work.

For later versions of the OS, you have to run the program 
"ConfigurePythonClassic " to configure things properly for VPython to work.

We'll update the instructions to reflect this.
