Hello all, Our school is running a trial of Windows 8 tablets. These are the Lenovo Thinkpad 2 tablets (see here: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/thinkpad/thinkpad-tablet-2/ ). I have installed Python and Visual as I usually do, and it won't run. I am using Python 2.7 and Visual 6. I can start VIDLE and load or write code. As soon as I try to run the code, the shell screen comes up (as expected), but then it freezes for a few seconds before a Windows dialog comes up reporting that "pythonw.exe has stopped working". This was the first thing I did after receiving the brand new tablet, so I do not think it is interference with another program, or a special Windows problem on this machine. I have subsequently installed and used programs such as OpenSCAD, so I do not think it is a general lack of power. I have removed and re-installed both visual and python twice, and it has no effect. I searched and found another post by another listserv member in the past year, but it did not receive any discussion, and emails to that person were not replied to. Do you have any ideas why this error occurs? -- --- ----- ------- ----------- James K. Deane jim...@gm... -- ------- - -------- -- -------- |
