and "Virtual Acorn"

These relate to what is perhaps the best ever version of BASIC, viz BBC

BASIC-256 is a 2D environment as opposed
to the 3D of VPython; however, BASIC-256
does have some very interesting features.
Depending on what subjects you're teaching
and how you're teaching them, BASIC-256
might be worth a long look.
