It doesn't run on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine. First there is a black 
window with menu options. I choose New game and there is a brief flash 
of another window with some colored boxes. If I choose New game again 
nothing happens. If I quit and restart I can again see the brief flash 
of another window with colored boxes in it.

In the installation process I was asked whether to keep the newer dll's 
already installed on my machine, and I said yes.
