[Visualpython-users] Path to success with {K}Ubuntu Lucid?

Has anybody successfully installed Visual Python on the new Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
beta1?  If so, it would be great to hear about what the steps were; from my
understanding, the default packages in the repositories don't work out of
the box.

I'm looking at upgrading in the coming weeks and it would be great if Visual
Python would just work, like it used to.  What needs to happen in order for
the neccessary fixes / patches to make it into 10.04?
