[Visualpython-users] Visual on Ubuntu *Karmic*? Has *anyone* managed?

The subject pretty much says it all ...

Has anybody managed to get Visual to work on Ubuntu Karmic?

For me neither the pre-compiled repository binaries in versino 5.11 worked, 
neither the back ported ones from Debian Sid (5.12), nor a direct compile.

I'm always hitting a road block, and I'm supposing the reason could be the 
boost 1.38 libraries as present in Karmic.

Any stories to share where it worked?
