I've verified that the Visual 5.01 works with the latest MacPython 2.5.4, and I've changed the Visual 5 download pages for Mac and Windows to reference the recent 2.5.4 release instead of 2.5.2. However, when I install MacPython 2.5.4, overwriting 2.5.2 but leaving the Visual 5.01 files in place, Visual hangs (like the problem sometimes seen with Visual 5.01 when running for the first time on a Mac). Reinstalling Visual 5.01 cures the problem. Strange.
