Starting the new project

Hi,i'm an amateur programmer,and i do this software for learning about the GTK+ libraries and improve myself,then any advice is welcome.
I'll creating a simple GUI for the program rkhunter:

i'll writing this with C and GTK+ libraries,this software released with GPL version 3.
At the moment i finishing the GUI of VisualHunter and just starting to build the neccessary for interact with rkhunter...well,i did 70% of the work.I hope to release the first release at february.
