Problems occured for two reasons: 1.) depending on the browser or better, tthe JAVA implementation used by it, two Applets running in the same page do or do not share the same CodeBase in class AppletStub or AppletContext. 2.) The size of the displayed imgage is not identical to the configured size of hmiMultiIcon (the image is always shown in real size regardles what width and height hmiMulticon has). Here, the active area (where it reacts on clicks) was only a small area (about one third) in the upper left corner.
