vIST/e is a C++ application that allows interactive visualization of various kinds of imaging datasets, both simple scalar data as well as complex high-dimensional data such as diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and high angular resolution imaging data (HARDI). vIST/e is based on VTK, Qt and is designed as a plugin system which allows it to be extended in a flexible way.

vIST/e emerged from being the main research tool of Imaging Science and Technology Eindhoven (IST/e), a major imaging group Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands which brings together all university faculties involved in medical or industrial imaging.

vIST/e source code is hosted at the SVN repository at TUDelft. We have made this choice because of the greater flexibility (such as defining private branches). Please see the 'Code' section for details about checking out the vIST/e source code.
