It's not the thing that I want to "through" Lynx users out, but Lynx would restrict us to much. Okay, make a "friendly" frameless site, that tells the user some interesting things about VisKProg and then tell him, if he wants to read more about VisKProg he should visit the site with an browser that supports frames. We need screenshots, we need grafics to display some structures (I will prepare them shortly for the documentation) and so on. AFAIK, there isn't any text browser available, that can display grafics. If we say, KFM is the lowest end, then we are allready restricted not to use JavaScript, Java, ActiveVirus, etc. >this is a site of a GRAPHICAL programming language That's it. I don't know any "visual" browser that cannot display frames, unless you go into the "dark ages" of the internet.. There is another questions open: Support GIF or PNG ? I would like to use png, but this will restrict the users to some browsers. So should we follow the "Burn all GIFs" idea? Greetings, Philipp |
