Website: I also like the backgrounds, especially as they're really unique and therefore you'll always recognize VisKProg's website at the first look. On the other hand I think that it could be nice to have a cleaner (or "more serious") layout (frames, links etc). When working on other PC's I (nearly always) realize that the current layout is simply too large. It's just a lie that nobody uses 800x600 anymore, in fact most (Linux) end users still do so! And why not trying out something new, from time to time, ey? On Wed, 18 Oct 2000, topi wrote: > Not everyone change the distribution so fast. OK, but the US are not the whole world, and - especially - RH is not the only Linux dirstribution. I'd really like to ask you how many guys you know, that use RH and KDE as their primary desktop. Guess there aren't so much among the end users ;-) > I agree. I think the Homepage should work with Mozilla > 3.x, KFM, Conqueror and IE 4.x without big problems. Should it work then with your TV at home also? I'm not one of the guys who advocate high-tech sites that only look when viewed in Konqueror, the most sophisticated browser ever (TM), but supporting a Lynx-compatible layout... don't know, this is a site of a GRAPHICAL programming language, man. Remove all meaningfull graphics, remove large frames, remove java - simply remove everything but the pure text, then it's the perfect Lynx site ;-) Kind regards, Chris ================================================================== Hi, I'm a virus! please add me to your signature file, to help me spread! |
