I've changed the name of the project from "Visible" to "Basically", reflecting the changing direction of the project. I know that no one is able to see those changes at this time, but trust me, they're there.
Four years... dang.
Since my last post, I've had a number of things happen, mostly negative. This has seriously impacted how much work I've done on Visible. The only major good thing is that I now have someone who is part "client", part "boss", and entirely "friend". This guy has really saved my bacon many times over. I'm now doing work for him that I never dreamed I'd be doing, and I think that I might be able to use Visible for some of the things he needs. (No promises, Kevin.)... read more
Fourteen years is a long time. In terms of programs and computing in general, it's just about forever.
I started Visible in 2006 with the goal of creating a general-purpose non-.Net-VB-to-C/C++ translator. Obviously, not only did I never finish, I never really got started. It was a case of not knowing just how much I didn't know.
Right before last Christmas (mid-December 2019) I restarted Visible from scratch. Again. I know more now than I did 14 years ago, but there is a LOT that I still don't know. At least I know I don't know it, so that's a small improvement.... read more

Visible will be a BASIC-to-C translator, probably forked from an existing project. (Most likely Kevin Diggins' BCX, although B++ and qb2c are possible, along with a few others. I need to review their respective source codes and licenses and see if any of them look good. I'm also open to suggestions.)... read more
