im a little stuck with turbovnc server, here are the details:
If i use the root user account i can connect to the linux box via ssh and start a turbo vnc server and then from the remote pc connect to that session with no problems.
However if i try and do this with the user1 account this does not happen i get a grey screen with a sad face. So i checked the logs on the root account and found nothing but on the user1 account i found that i got this error.
xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":1"
gnome-session-isaccelerated: No hardware 3D support exited with code 256
so i did a little digging and it may be due to access to the X server which i have followed a a few posts and created the vglusers group and ran the config for that with no effect.
i have tried to look into the permissions as i believe the user1 account is missing something to allow it to connect.
i have a Quadro m4 installed as this is a modelling node and hence why i need users to login and visually see whats going on.
any help please?
many thanks
