I have obtained an OGG media file.
The file is read fine bij Virtualdubmod (1.5.10.2) and I can play it ok.
but if I save it as an AVI file (to burn to a DVD later) the movie is saved witout the sound.
I tried a few things but I never get the sound in the new saved file.

I have seen the stream in the streams menu and set it to "Direct stream copy".
    But still: no sound.
Can anybody please tell me waht I am doing wrong ?

    Thanks in advance.
    Guy

What format is the video and audio in the original video file?

From what I've seen, it looks like the AVI container doesn't support certain codec - such as OGG vorbis for audio.

What you can try is extracting the audio stream, save it as WAV, and re-attaching that back onto the video stream in VDM.  Then you should be able to do a direct stream copy to AVI.

Let me know how that works out!

In my case the solution was much simpler:

After accesing the "streams" menu, there is a button "Enable/Disable" at the bottom right. The visible text should be "disable", if "enable" appears, you should click on it.
