Hello
I myself have not yet downloaded nor tried Virtual Linux but I _have_ used other distributions of Linux, both installed as well as LiveCD / Live DVD Linux. There are nearly countless web sites hosting Linux distributions of a lot of 'flavors' (different configurations) of each type of Linux. These same sites (and many others that are only discussing Linux) also host information about using Linux. Many have Linux For Beginners (or something similar) that one can download, either by direct download (copy / paste or 'File > Save As') or by file downloading. If you prefer, you can go to many bookstores that sell books on Linux...sometimes this would be preferable, unless you have two computers and/or a KVM switch (I add 'and/or' as you may have two separate monitors for each computer). Most times, each Linux distribution has it's own manual inside, as either a help file or a manual or info file. Check for installation instructions either inside the zip file (or self-installing compressed file - usually has an '.exe' extension) or on the site that you got the Linux from. If neither of these is applicable, I will be downloading and installing Virtual Linux myself and check it out. I may be able to provide some more information, then, if you still have questions about it.
