Hi. i extracted to a folder and can run the application so have the icon in the tool bar so can open settings. I got a warning about hot key left and right, but that will be because I also have winsplitrevolutioninstalled for fast window movement. the bit I am interested in this incredibly annoying feature of opening excel and flipping you off the desktop you are on. i tried increasing the timeout as suggested to 12000ms, but no difference. is there anything else to be checking? Do I need to go even higher on time out?
Seems excel is attached to which ever desktop the excel was most recently used.
Thnaks any advice as first experience of virual desktop is not good.

You may as well change the keyboard shortcuts in settings so that they don't clash with winsplit.
I too found the excel thing was not working for me any more and had to increase that timeout but it did work for me and I only had to go to 2200 which means for me it only takes a couple of seconds for an excel file to open to a window. Is it taking longer than 12 seconds for you then? I have had other people need to set that timeout really high if it is very slow for them - of course it can depend on the file being opened.
The only other possible configuration issue is if the executable is not called EXCEL.EXE. You can check that in task manager.

Hi Mike,
Sorry for taking so long to reply.
