#5 preview window gone

After fiddling with transparency settings for the
preview window, it disappeared completely. I have
uninstalled, deleted all virtual dimension files I can
recognize and re-installed, but the settings do not
change. I can install VD as another user and it works
fine, with the default settings ... for that user.
How can I return the settings to default so I can use
the preview window?

Never mind! I solved it by deleting the files from the register
with regedit.

never mind, i found it: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Typz Software\Virtual Dimension

This is apparently still an issue, because I managed to screw up the same thing. I unfortunately do not have admin rights on my pc and can't solve this using regedit. Is there another way to restore the preview window?
