Upon receiving/setting up a new work computer, VD (v0.94) never loads when I have our "KeyAcess Client" server loaded.
This is a program that I unfortunately must have to load University-Approved Software - the server checks to make sure I'm on campus, and then lets the software launch (think Photoshop, Systat, etc.). I talked to our OIT people here, and they scratched their heads...but it definitely is a problem with this program. They suggested I switch to the Windows Power Toys-like program instead.
The only way I've found to get it working is to uninstall this client, launch VD, and then reinstall the client. A terribly unstable approach, and it leaves me avoiding restarts (thank god its a RAM-beast). I can't figure out anyway to stop the KeyAccess client from loading by me choosing to launch it, its simply launched every startup without any input from me (its not in the msconfig>startup section). It also doesn't matter if I launch VD on my own or with Windows-startup, either way it just sits there in the task manager doing a little, but never loading.

I love this program!

You can try to disable shell integration for this KeyAccess application... This should be the only feature that can have some impact on the system.... With the feature disabled (globally, or jsut of KeyAccess), you should be OK.
You can control this from the advanced tab in the configuration dialog.
