#16 Takes too long to load given ontologies

Env: MacBook with Mac OS X 10.5.4
Vine: 1.4.0.20080820a

sequence:

- File -> New
- Choose destination filename
- choose ontologies:
- http://sweet.jpl.nasa.gov/ontology/earthrealm.owl
- http://sweet.jpl.nasa.gov/ontology/phenomena.owl
- click finish

Progress dialog says: "loading mapping statements"

Takes 2+ minutes for the mapping editor to show up

Progress dialog does not stay for the whole period, so it makes one think the editor is about to appear but it still takes a while to do so.
