I just used your update feature. I was able to successfully find it
and us it. But after it restarted, vim would not show up in its
designated window. When I ran eclipse from the console I would get the
message "vim loaded successfully" when I opened up the file for
editing.

I'm on debian linux.

Hmm, what does the ErrorLog say? (Window|Show View|PDE Runtime|Error Log).

Please be more specific.
