[vimplugin-devel] vimplugin on Eclipse 3.2.1 on Gentoo

I installed and configured vimplugin according to
http://vimplugin.org/installation
on Eclipse 3.2.1 (on Gentoo x86_64)

Now when opening a file in Eclipse, gvim gets started, but then I get
the error message:
Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure:
org.eclipse.ui.internal.editors.text.JavaFileEditorInput cannot be cast to
org.eclipse.ui.IFileEditorInput

Any ideas what I did wrong?
