[Vim-latex-devel] [Contact] French Accent problem

Hello,



First thanks for your great work.

But, i write latex isource file in 
french, and it seems that the character é (\'e) i have this key on my franch keyboard) is 
mapped on an action that changes according to the context.



Do you know this 
problem ?

I would like to use this key on my keyboard rather than type \'e at each 
time.

Couldn't we detect the current locale and automatically authorize or not
thoses <M-xxx> mappings ?

I know, the big problem is to have an extensive list of characters we
can use or not according to all possibles set of values for v:lang. But
may be, it could be extended after every "complain" we see here. For
sure it concerns Frenchs and I guess Italians.
Or may be we could try to detect some particular uses of babel, which
could be extremely tricky!

For me it happened in language "C".

My "complaint" was due to the fact that I used
\usepackage[latin1]{inputenc} for the first time with vim-latex,
which again the reason I didn't reread the FAQ because everything
worked fine till then.  So inputenc might be a criterion.
Otherwise one probably wouldn't use "é" -- except in comments.

Hello,

I just want to mention that the ``=E9'' character is also in
Czech, Slovak and Hungarian alphabet. It will be nice to
have a 'switch' to have or not to have <M-xxx> mappings.
