[Vim-latex-devel] vim-latex on OS X Tiger

Hej,

I used vim-latex on OS X now for one year without problems, but after I
recently upgraded to OS X 10.4 (Tiger) I get two strange problems inside
Terminal.app using vim-latex-package:

1) After opening a file with vim it starts blank with only showing
line-count. Pressing 'enter' again the file gets finally opened.
2) More annoying is the problem that editing .tex-files with vim-latex
I'm not able to use the backspace anymore. It just seems to have the
same function as space.

I didn't change anything in my .vimrc and tried it also with a blank
.vimrc containing only 'filetype plugin indent on' and a ~/.vim
directory which only contains a fresh vim-latex-package.
I know this problem might be quite Mac-specific, but I still hope
someone here is able to give an advise on what could be wrong.
