I forgot another interesting feature of ultratex.  Typing
<CR> in the middle of a math environment does not break the
line, but takes you out of the current pair of brackets.
This is similar to the current system of <<>>.  This seems
too intrusive to me.  

My own solution to this problem was to use <Alt-F> to take
you to the next pair of brackets.  I bound the <C-F> and
<C-E> keys as in emacs, and these are also useful for
getting out from between brackets.  I'm not saying these are
better than <<>>, which is very elegant.  Of course, there
will always be some times when the user doesn't want to go
to the <<>>.  No system is perfect.  I recommend staying
with <<>>.
