Hello,

I do not get these messages at all. I have a similar set up. gvim61 on windows
2000 (no patches applied). I tested with the following minimal .vimrc:

filetype plugin on
filetype indent on
syntax on

I installed a fresh latex-suite (the same version you mention) in a new temporary
directory while testing... (maybe some other plugins are interfering?)

Could you please email a copy of your .vimrc to vim...@li....
Hopefully one of us will be able to duplicate your problem with that.
