[Vim-latex-devel] using IMAP and Placeholder functions in non-latex-suite scripts

i would like to write my own scripts using the IMAP and the placeholder
functions e.g for quick writing in BB-formatted forums. Is it possible and
how can i do this without invoking the whole latex-suite?
