Dear all, I am glad to announce that Ugo Grandolini has joined the VILab team. Ugo is an expert in website development, and indeed he has developed a tool to speed up site development
(phpcamaleo.org), from which we will try to extract the maximum value, in view of developing the VILab website. Ugo, together with Pascal, will support Yann in this important aspect of VILab: our website.

Definition of VILab just starting

Dear all,

An essential phase of the VILab project has just started. Miroslav Houdek (Principal Software Engineer) is working, with the support of Bill Choy (Virtual Instrumentation Consultant) and Ganesh Ramachandran (DAQ Driver Development Manager) in the preparation of an essential document: the VILab Definition Study (DS) Document, under my overall supervision.

That document will identify the user requirements we want for VILab. Then, some software requirements will be derived, and finally an architectural design of VILab. Also the language to use and the way to integrate the code will be addressed. The different technical risks to face have to be anticipated and solutions anticipated as well via trade-offs. VILab logo under development: Thanks Yann!

Dear All, this is to inform you that we are progressing very much towards having a VILab logo!

I have proposed a very draft logo to be used as inspiration, and Yann has prepared some ideas that are being preliminarily discussed. I expect to soon announce the availability of two or three alternatives, so that you can vote for your favorite one and we can finally arrive to a definitive logo that identifies our project and so our team.... read more

Bill Choy joins the VILab Team
