Stay alert! Vikamine 2.0 is approaching!

We will release a new alpha version of Vikamine within the next weeks.
The Vikamine 2.0 will include a completely new GUI framework based on Eclipse RCP, project management within a workspace concept and many other brand new advanced features.

VIKAMINE 1.8.1 - a bugfix release of the 1.8 version - is now available!

Furthermore, the scalability of the exhaustive optimal discovery methods has been improved significantly using optimistic estimate functions (try the Piatetsky-Shapiro quality function together with SD-Map!). Additionally, we have simplified the zoomtable visualization, and have added a novel "introductory" overview visualization for beginners. The versatile data mining environment VIKAMINE moved to SourceForge. Thus, the development and future releases will be eased by the great services provided by SourceForge.

Since 2003 VIKAMINE has been developed by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Applied Computer Science at the University of Wuerzburg. The released files already moved to SourceForge servers. Mailing lists and tracking system have already been set up, and SVN will follow shortly. ... read more
