I tried to open a big JBoss-Logfile (2GB) and Vigilog would not react anymore.
It should be possible to cancel reading of big log files.

Vigilog should parse Logfiles in chunks and not all at once, because log files can get quite large and often only a subset of the file is needed for inspection.

The initial view should be brought up quickly, parsing only the first 2048 or so bytes. Only when searching and operating on the log, the file would have to be traversed. Scrolling could be done in chunks, too, sothat performance is acceptable with big files and resource overhead stays low.
