thanks for a great piece of software. i bought my pvr-250 on 23rd december 2002, and more or less have
never got it to work. i've tried everything, downloading all the software i could find from hauppauge (official
and beta). the problem is by recording, it's just pot luck. sometimes it works, but mostly not. the
wintv2000 software jams up about 90 seconds into the recording, and then must be force closed. before i
can view tv again i need to reboot. often with viewing, the picture will freeze (and then come back) or go
blocky. this seems just the solution.
my wintv pvr 250 is model 48054 rev i108 pal b/g with 3 external/2 s-video inputs. ie - antenna, s-video
and composite. i use the composite (not the s-video with the hauppauge converter), so it would be nice to
see that supported.
when a record is started, it would be nice to have a 'stop recording after x mins' feature. i have a
workaround using "switch off" and option "end all apps".
there is no stretch to fit on the ulead codec (works on elecard), i'm not sure if you can control this.
a nice to have would be an option to crop the saved file (not just the viewed image)
of course a fully funtional timeshifter/scheduler to completly replace wintv2000, do you have a published
'todo' list ?
regards, and thanks again. mike robertson

Ich have the PVR 250 Model too!
But I can not proof your problems with the original Software
from Hauppauge. Its more that Im not satisfied with the
sharpness of the picture in the original Software.
The original Software is perfectly stable on my System. Even
recordings of 13hourse in one peace have been done correctly.
