I have a bunch of video that are in .mov format (created by iFlicks), which contain metadata. When added to iTunes, the video metadata is preserved. However, when I load the videos in VideoMonkey, the metadata does not appear in the info box.
My goal is to recode the videos for iPhone playback (most of the original .mov files are 720p), but I don't want to have to re-tag every video, especially since VM does not seem to be able to search for the tags correctly (I suspect the file names are not in a format it likes).
Is there a way I can get the metadata from .mov files loaded into VM?
Thank you very much!
Luc

Does the console show anything when loading the movie? If you can send me a short sample of a file that has the problem, I can look at it.
The only message I get is "Unable to read metadata for (filename)". I get the same message when I try to initiate a search in the info box.
I will send you a small clip of a .mov file that has the problem in a minute.
