Yes, that's right, changing the option in configuration does not work. That's the reason i'm asking for help. Indeed, the option it's like hard coded and can't be changed without changing something in the code i guess. I wanna know if someone knows what i need to change.

There is a configuration variable that *should* control that.  But I don’t think it works for IMDB search & add. I suspect there needs to be a modification to the program logic for this to work as you (and I) desire. I am using version v3.0.1 and I just verified that your description matches my experience.

Log on to VideoDB as the Administrator (you should have the “Configuration” option available.

Click “Configuration” and look for a variable named “Default mediatype”.  Change it to “DVD” or some other value using the dropdown.

Click “Save”.

My Default Media type is set to “DVD” and performing a NEW action uses that value, but adding from IMDB seams to be hard coded to set media type to “Wanted”

Subject: [videodb-devel] Don't want to add from IMDB to wishlist

How can i do, every time i add a movie from imdb it automatically adds it to my wishlist. I want to add the movie directly to my list in DVD mediatype. Is there a way to do this, editing the code or something?. I wish someone can help me,
