When I came back to my session (after a 20 hour hiatus), I got this home page:

-yellow bar: mailing list added
-yellow bar: added:rknapp

Is this a sort of ‘alert’ as to what has changed since your last visit? If so, could the banner (in orange) be more specific—e.g. rknapp was added to Group X; a Mailing List for Group Y was started.
