#1 Alternative way to type escape symbol

I am a user of vi and I'm very used to type ctrl+[ instead of Esc, because it's closer to the standard positions of my hands on the keyboard. Your implementation lack this possibility. So I would love to be able to switch to control mode by typing ctrl+[.
