- easier extension with new doctypes and styles via the new plug-in
project mechanism.

- basic DITA support.

- ability to specify which style a document should be shown with.

Vex 1.0.0 released

Vex 1.0.0 has been released. This is the first version to be based on the Eclipse platform. Vex is a CSS-styled XML editor based on the Eclipse platform. It provides a word processor-like interface for document-style XML documents such as DocBook and xhtml.

Mac OS/X Help Needed

I don't have a Mac so I need help testing Vex on Mac OS/X. I would also appreciate help on making Vex look good on a Mac (e.g. I think now the application is still called Eclipse).

Vex 0.4.1 released

Vex is a Java Swing application that presents a word processor-like interface for editing XML documents. This release adds a treeview of document elements and a table for editing the current element's attributes. It's also easier to insert, morph, and unwrap elements.

For the next release, I'm working on making Vex a single window GUI with tabs for individual files. A "projects" panel will allow commonly used directories to be always available.... read more

Vex 0.3.1 Released

Vex is a Java Swing application that presents a word processor-like interface for editing XML documents. Release 0.3.1 adds rich content cut/paste and undo/redo.

This is the last release for a while focusing on the core of the VexComponent. The next set of releases (0.4.x) will focus on adding GUI amenities to the Vex application.

Vex is a Java Swing application that presents a word processor-like interface for editing XML documents. Release 0.3 constrains documents by their DTD. Element attributes are now preserved, and preformatted and no-wrap text are supported.

VEX 0.2 Released
