Hi Kris, nice to hear from you :-) > I just wanted to point out the following: the packages of Vesuf which > are available for download on the webpage > http://vesuf.sourceforge.net/download_vesuf.html, both only contain > source code. Ik guess vesuf.zip actually should be the binary > distribution. Actually, the main package (aka full package) contains binary and source files. Unfortunately there are no fancy graphical tools available, so the binary distribution is more or less just the vesuf.jar file, which contains the runtime engin= e together with some default models. To give you better insights (hopefully) on how to use Vesuf, we put onlin= e our dictionary application, that we use as our main example: http://vesuf.sourceforge.net/dictionary.zip Again this is binary (jar) AND source, but as can be seen from the readme.txt, the application is fairly easy to start, despite the lack of documentatio= n. > I am interested in hearing if the Vesuf developers are also considering > using ConcurTaskTrees as the task model. When we started the development of Vesuf, we followed a very UML-centric approach, so UseCases seemed like the natural choice for a task model. But now, indeed, we see the necessity of an information rich task model. Especially when it comes to automatically deriving the dialog control flo= w from the task model, CTT has much more to offer than UseCases. So, in short: Yes, we are now considering using CTT. But at the moment our main focus - regarding vesuf - is more on the presentation model, considering template and pattern mechanisms. Unfortunately, we are now involved in another project called MedPAge (our PhD project), so at this time, we do not have much time to spend on Vesuf. We always wanted to at least release some beta, with some understandable documentation on how to get the whole thing running. Now your mail may finally gives us the motivation to actually do it ;-) >Once I'll get the Vesuf source > code compiled, I'll be happy to give it a (academic (-: ) try. When following the instructions in vesuf/docs/getting_startet.txt, there should be no problems in compiling the system. Otherwise, please give us a note, and we'll try to improve on the documentation. Hi, I just wanted to point out the following: the packages of Vesuf which are available for download on the webpage http://vesuf.sourceforge.net/download_vesuf.html, both only contain source code. Ik guess vesuf.zip actually should be the binary distribution. I am interested in hearing if the Vesuf developers are also considering using ConcurTaskTrees as the task model. Once I'll get the Vesuf source code compiled, I'll be happy to give it a (academic (-: ) try.
