[Veryquickwiki-announce] [ANN] - A new VQWiki project lead

To all VQWiki users,

As of yesterday I, Martijn van der Kleijn, have become a project
administrator for the Very Quick Wiki project.

Per the 1st of September 2005, I will be taking over from Gareth Cronin as
active project lead. Gareth will then be stepping back as the active project
leader since he unfortunately does not have the time to adequately guide the
VQWiki project. Gareth will offcourse remain on as a project administrator
and will remain contributing to the project whenever his time permits.

I myself am a software systems engineer by education and currently reside in
The Netherlands, Europe. I have been working with numerous programming
languages for a long time and have a clear understanding of the way projects
usually work. During office hours I am working in a team which is
responsible for a large web farm environment running on the java platform
with various types of connections to database systems, mainframes and other
companies. In my spare time I read many a book, walk a lot, and offcourse
tend to spend the occasional hour behind the PC.

My enthousiasm for VQWiki is high and I personally love the "Keep It Simple"
attitude of the current implementation. As the new project lead it is my
intention to re-vitalize and improve the VQWiki project while keeping the
simplicity we now enjoy. To achieve this goal, I will be starting a number
of initiatives. One of which will be creating a clear release schedule.

The VQWiki project and myself would like to thank you for your continued
support and patience. As any other open source project, we depend on the
support of both our users and our contributing developers.
