vers script

This script is usefull if you need a copy of a file before you change it.

Usage

Usage: vers file

Function

Make a copy of the file, in .vers/file.timestamp
If .vers don't exist, it will be create.

Installation

A good place for the script is /usr/bin
Set the right permission with: chmod 755 vers
