Hi. I'm a Japanese, so please excuse my poor English.
I'm very new to Venster, and I didn't know Thomas Heller's patch.
I recently downloaded Venster-0.72 from Sourceforge, and it didn't
work because of the old ctypes.com usage, and I fixed Venster to use
new comtypes and made my own patch.
Then today, I found Thomas Heller's new patch. oops!
But it seems it still have some incompleteness around IE browser component.
In my patch, I already fixed venster/lib/browser.py to work.
Some of sample/test scripts using IE component like sampleapp.py,
test_app.py seems to work too, but test_browser.py still needs some
more fix itself, because it heavily uses ctypes.com itself.
One more thing.
Sourceforge's CVS repository seems older than Venster-0.72, which can be
downloaded from Sourceforge's download-page.
It seems Henk Punt didn't commit the latest version(0.72) of Venster, and
the HEAD Tag in CVS repository is release_0_63!
And Thomas Heller's patch seems to be based on the older one (CVS version).
Does anybody need this patch?
This can be applied to venster-0.72 distribution, using patch -p0 command.
This could be freely applied to Sourceforge's CVS repos, too.
I'll appreciate it.
