Vector Visuals 2006.12.02 Released

Well over a year in the making, this release of Vector Visuals is a combination of bug fixes and new features. This release sees the addition of persistence delegates for all of the Vector Visuals objects, along with the moving of the examples out into their own source folder. Certainly the most exciting release of Vector Visuals to date, version 2004.11.14 makes a quantum leap in terms of the sophistication of the AnimationTask system. An event-based callback system has been added that allows code to be notified when tasks start and finish, and a "cycle length" concept has been implemented, allowing excessive CPU use to be curbed during animations. Vector Visuals Reaches 2000 Downloads

As of 11 August 2004, the Vector Visuals project has had more than 2,000 downloads. It has also recorded over 12,000 pageviews.

Vector Visuals 2004.02.04 Released

The most important aspect of this release is that it represents a change in license for Vector Visuals. The library is now distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) rather than the Reciprocal Public License (RPL). Vector Visuals Featured at Adelaide JUG Meeting

Vector Visuals was presented by Brandon Franklin at the September 15, 2003, meeting of the Adelaide Java User's Group in Adelaide, South Australia. The structure of the system was described, and running demonstrations were displayed. This release adds "click-and-drag" functionality for visual objects, as well as a couple of new animation tasks. Labels on connectors can now be rotated to align with the connection line. A bug with relative transforms has been corrected.... read more
