We finally feel we are ready to roll out Beta 1 to the public. the B1.8 ISO's have been renamed B1 and moved to the public directory. If it is possible we would like you to come hag out in the #vectorlinux-admin IRC room tonight to help send the release out. On full install from both discs installation froze on 92%, while unpacking kernel sources from second CD. md5sums of the discs look fine. Can anyone confirm? |

Ok, I've reinstalled using first disk only. Installation went succesfull, lilo was written in the MBR. But when I try to boot the system, first three lines of kernel booting show themselves and then machine goes to reboot. I'm running Athlon 64 2800+ on AsRock K8NF4G-SATA2 with 1024Mb of DDR RAM and two videocards (GF 6100 integrated and 8600GT). I'm installing VL on the same partition previous versions were installed to, on 80Gb Samsung IDE drive. |

sergey, can you post the md5sum of your kernel there? I have not seen anything like what you are having there.
