We have a new dynamite test iso up you can get it here http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdynamite-5.9.8.7.iso there is a delta here http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdyn-5.9.7.4to5.9.8.7.delta the delta is quite large becase of all the changes This new iso has new glibc, new kernel headers, and new kernel, because of this we need to start rebuilding all the packages that end in 4vl5 or 4vl6. I would recommend using the version designation 4vl58 as in (for vector linux 5.8) to help us tell the packages apart. please download and switch over to this new Dynamite ASAP Thanks, Uel Archuletta |

Maybe I'm blind or something, but there is only 5.9.7.4 iso.. Are you sure the path is correct? well I put it in the ftp folder maybe it takes a but for it to transferred over? Uel and all who have access to the vectorlinux account, You need to run the trigger-vectorlinux script after you make any update, no matter how trivial, to the repository. Otherwise, the changes won't be pushed out to the other boxes at osuosl.org that handle the bulk of the ftp traffic. The script is in the /home/vectorlinux directory. Once it's run, it takes about 5 minutes for the changes to propagate to the other boxes. Hi all. I've installed the new VL-Dyn 5.9.8.8. Some problems : - Sound card was not detected during installation. - /proc was not mounted - With default boot mode=4, sometimes the GUI did not start. - wdm does not work, only the classic xdm (have we switched to qingqy ?) The XFCE4 is pretty good though. I hope the problems are only in my machine.
