Installed last night, but real quickly just to test the lilo stuff.

Will install here later today to test the KDM stuff

Just installed again here on a VM and here come the results.

X did not start on first boot. Font problems, had to run the font scripts.

KDM now shows the login pictures selected during installation.. nice ;)

Root does not have a .face icon. Dont know if we should address that
from the installer or from somewhere else... Let me know.

I think we should default the desktop style to "Folder View" and not Desktop
Folder view will provide the users with a desktop style they are
familiar with. Icons go right into the desktop
Desktop provides the box on the desktop that shows the icons. This box
can be closed and all the sudden icons dissapear. I dont think this is
a good default configuration.

Other than that, it worked for me.
Lilo worked too.

I will check the font script it should still be running at first boot.
we can add the root .face.icon to vlconfig2
we can add a good skel with the "Folder View"  and the warning icons removed
if someone wants to put that together also

I have added a quick check in the installer code to search for root's .face.icon
If it is provided by vlconfig2, the code simply gets bypassed,
otherwise, it defaults to /usr/share/apps/kdm/pics/users/root1.png

As far as the skel goes, I dont know exacly how to do it...
And what warning icons do you mean?

Hello,

Using default installer: I could not get past user creation to finish the
installation/configuration.

Using updated installer: Other problems prevented installation.
