hello, here is another dynamite http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdynamite-5.9.8.13.iso <http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdynamite-5.9.8.11.iso> and some delta's http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdyn-5.9.8.11to5.9.8.13.delta http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-current/iso-test/VLdyn5.9.8.12to5.9.8.13.delta in this release are bugfixes and added gksu and xdelta packages vanger I think i have fixed all of your bugs this time let me know if i missed any larry I have fixeed some of yours. the help files in gnumeric dont want to work with the symlink i found in gnumeric bugs, have you found a way to fix them? i am not sure about the screensaver. do we have good packages fo inkscape, and anacron? also I started fixing the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications some work some dont want to cooperate, another problem is that I have fixed them in vlconfig and they get overwrote with the ones that are broke in the packages so either all the packages should be redone or we make a package that install's last Thanks, Uel Archuletta |

I've just installed the release and noticed three nasty bugs: 1) During the install of X11 and dev bulks the progress bar is behaving strangely - quiantity of unpacked mbs goes below zero, decrements and so on. 2) In the wdm the default WM is "no changes". If you try to use this option, this will jsut reboot X. Please, set xfce4 as default ;) . 3) In the X once again you can not go to console and change keyboard layout. Replacement of xkb, which helped in 5.9.7.4 does not work. This issue is really bad. Do you think, it's because xfs And again about the installer. 1) I think, that before testing of X-server configuration should be text, how to shut it down. Will try it out now ;) . While typing cd xdelta-1.1.3 && make install in the fourth, or fifth time, I've got an question. Why not to place xdelta package in the dev bulk? It will make test releases more comfortable for all those developer and beta-tesing tasks. As far as I see, networking is being started in rc.M. The thing is, that vnetadd script (which works perfectly), modifies /etc/rc.d/rc.eth0 . And in the rc.M only rc.inet$i, rc.route and rc.firewall are started. 1. xpdf has soem dependency which i forget now, but i could not get xpdf to work. 2. Also how to associate applications to file types in XFCE ? the available choices are going to the direct path instead of the menu. 3. i know others are looking at this , but the menus are incomplete. 4. i think we can safely ditch seamonkey and restore firefox, with mozplugger. Part of the appeal is to have all media websites working upfront!!
