yeah saw your fix in svn so tried and no crash thats good but bad news is a new user uid is still 1001 so not quite there yet. I am prolly gonna email you at your email at gmail as this dev list is like taking 2 days to get to me. We also need to add console keymap to /etc/rc.d/rc.keymap Paul has been reporting this bug for awhile now.
