Actually, uelsk8s ran into the same issue today. I think i got it fixed but it wouldnt hurt if you try it agan to make sure the peoblem is completely gone. The new iso's should work just as fine. Would you like me to repeat with 1.41txz like last time or should I use the updated 1.42txz isos (already downloaded)? You've probably already done something about the os-prober blank label issue, but if not then perhaps if os-prober returns an empty string then something as simple as 'unknown' could end up in the label field. The idea is that a label is better than no label since lilo will fail with no label. Even better might be if os-prober returns an empty string then a label indicating filesystem and/or partition (e.g. ntfs-sda1, vfat-hda1, etc.). Last, I actually have a bootable OSX partition (sdc1) - you can see it in the partition sequence jpeg I attached to a previous email. This was not detected by vinstaller at the bootloader section, and therefore was not a boot menu option. How do grub and lilo handle booting osx systems, if at all? I idea being that if a true mac user wanted to installed VL in a dual-boot scenario would lilo/grub leave them without a boot menu option to boot into OSX?
